Taking your workout to new heights
In the same way that Bhumi translates into Earth in Sanskrit, Yoga translates into a grounded sense of well-being and mindfulness. To promote that sort of mental and physical balance, one must have a space to influence individuals from the inside and out, hence we have created a space to drift its visitors away from external complexities.
From the main entrance, visitors are greeted with the intricate details of Bhumi’s sanskrit symbol engraved in light grey marble, complemented by soft white tones. The light emanating from the feature light form soft shadows, creating an ethereal feeling with the Bhumi signage seemingly floating in the backdrop. Warm, neutral tones serve to provide the calm ambience that is needed to clear the mind, and geometric shapes in built-in carpentry are kept minimal to avoid distraction.
Full height glass, soft sheers and slanted wood strips all contribute to maximise natural lighting which in turn enhance natural features of light and shadows, creating a transition of fading tonal values. This play of movement is used along the corridors leading to the final burst of light in the open studio rooms, fueling energy for the classes to follow.
Natural wood grains and light white-washed tiles avoid superficiality of loud colors and finishes, leaving the main focus to be on the orange aerial silks for Bhumi Yoga’s core workouts – Flying Yoga.
